MedPro Healthcare Staffing is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Long Term Acute Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients requiring extended medical attention. Your duties will include:
- Caring for 5-6 patients at a time.
- Adapting to a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges.
- Monitoring and administering medications via various routes (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
- Educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and illness management.
- Operating and interpreting specialized medical equipment and telemetry readings.
- Performing all responsibilities expected of a registered nurse consistently.
- Caring for patients with conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and atrial fibrillation.
- Utilizing computer systems to monitor vital signs and cardiac information.
- Starting IVs and drawing blood as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Active RN License.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications.
- A minimum of eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
- Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, intravenous drips, and the ability to read telemetry strips.
