Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team in Haines, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services.
  • Lead and direct clinic staff to ensure efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic.
  • Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PAR system.
  • Ensure quality control checks are done with Point of Care tests.
  • Document all care and services provided in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of provider clinics.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure efficient and quality patient care.

Position Complexities:

  • Maintain skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participate in in-services and educational programs.
  • Complete all mandatory training and adhere to infection control policy and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment.

Position Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted RN licensure, Alaska licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • 1 year acute care experience preferred.
