  • Observes designated areas to maintain safety, prevent vandalism, and identify hazards.
  • Oversees crosswalks to assist students in adhering to safety protocols while crossing streets.
  • Supervises students in various school settings to ensure safety, compliance with policies, and overall student welfare.
  • Communicates observations and incidents regarding students to teachers and school administration.
  • Responds to inquiries and emergencies to safeguard students, staff, and property.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assists fellow staff members and participates in cleaning tables during meal periods to ensure student health and safety.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must possess basic knowledge of mathematics, reading, writing, and practical understanding.

Skills include performing non-technical tasks, applying safety codes, and administering basic first aid.

Required abilities include flexibility, discretion, adherence to safety practices, and attention to detail.

Work Environment: Involves both indoor and outdoor activities requiring physical capabilities such as lifting, standing, and sensory skills.

Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Relevant job-related experience is preferred.

Licensing and Certification: Must have fingerprint/criminal justice clearance; tuberculosis clearance; and CPR/First Aid certification from an approved training program.
