Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the laundry department and team members to achieve production standards, cleanliness, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, coaching, retention, and staffing of laundry team members.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing team members to ensure continued development and growth.
  • Manage the financial strategy, including budgeting, labor and operating expense forecasts, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including chemical safety and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Manage inventory levels, maintain PAR levels, and order supplies as needed.
  • Address and resolve employee and guest concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely completion of performance appraisals and identify key talent for development.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty Program and model Great Wolf Lodge's policies and standards of excellence.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in laundry operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in labor management scheduling.
  • Proven management skills and abilities, including conflict resolution, coaching, development, and team building.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping, preferably in a resort or hotel environment.
  • Experience creating and maintaining documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge of business and financial analysis tools and processes.
  • Skilled in leading a diverse team to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
  • Demonstrated analytical, planning, and change implementation abilities.
