The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on developing innovative HIV-1 integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTIs) that retain antiviral efficacy against resistant mutant forms of integrase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and synthesize heterocyclic molecules using advanced synthetic organic chemistry techniques
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop next-generation analogs of INSTIs
  • Conduct antiviral assays and analyze data to inform the design of new compounds
  • Work closely with the team to publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in synthetic or medicinal chemistry with expertise in multi-step synthesis of complex organic molecules
  • Strong background in spectral analysis of intermediates and products
  • Experience synthesizing chiral heterocyclic compounds is highly desirable
