Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. As a key member of our engineering and facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry out equipment maintenance, including identifying and operating shut-off valves.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or certification in HVAC/refrigeration preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration; hotel engineering/maintenance experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification and ability to meet state and federal certification requirements.
