Newborn Hearing Screen Technician Job Description

Overview

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician, you will play a critical role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings
  • Provide education to parents about the importance of the screen
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed, including confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments and following up on equipment issues

Requirements

  • Experience working with infants preferred
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
