We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway/Dirt Foreman to join our team at Balfour Beatty US. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of earthwork, demo, grading, and other related disciplines on our highway construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage on-site fleet equipment and ensure it is properly maintained and operated.
- Develop and execute Look Ahead Schedules to meet project deadlines and estimated costs.
- Purchase materials, tools, and supplies as needed to support project operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of craftsmen and laborers, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and materials to complete tasks efficiently.
- Plan and execute logistics, including scheduling construction daily and weekly activities.
- Execute project work plans and ensure that all tasks are completed to the required quality and safety standards.
- Manage crews productively and efficiently, providing training and guidance as needed to ensure they are working safely and effectively.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing earthwork, demo, grading, and other related disciplines.
- Highway construction experience is essential, with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and working in and adjacent to traffic.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and visitors.
- TxDOT construction experience and design-build experience are highly desirable.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
