Job Title: Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Medical Coding Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of medical coding practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign and sequence codes accurately and in compliance with government and insurance regulations.
  • Comply with medical coding guidelines and policies.
  • Review and verify patients' charts and documents for accuracy.
  • Follow up and clarify any unclear information with other staff members.
  • Collect and analyze data to prepare monthly reports.
  • Implement strategic procedures and evaluate methods to ensure accurate results.
  • Examine medical malpractice cases and identify contributing factors.
Requirements:
  • Medical Coding Certification (CPC or CPC-A).
  • At least 6 months of coding experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
