**Job Summary**

The City of Lima is seeking a highly skilled Building Code Enforcement Specialist to join our team in the Building Division of the Department of Public Works. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing building codes and regulations, establishing and maintaining external relationships, and preparing and maintaining records.

**Responsibilities**

* Enforce building codes and regulations to ensure public safety and health
* Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors
* Prepare and maintain records, including building plans and inspection reports
* Maintain personal and professional competence and awareness

**Requirements**

* A minimum of five years' experience in building design and construction for buildings and structures within the scope of use groups regulated by the Ohio Building Code
* An Ohio registration as an architect or professional engineer
* Certification as a Plans Examiner with the State of Ohio
