St. Luke's Warren Campus is looking for Housekeeping Services Associates to become part of our esteemed and dedicated team.

The Housekeeping Services Associate is responsible for the thorough and hygienic cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, auxiliary spaces, and other designated areas throughout the facility and its satellite locations, adhering to established cleaning protocols and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to all relevant schedules, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain assigned areas in a tidy, clean, and sanitary state.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and chemicals in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Efficiently clean and prepare patient rooms, beds, stretchers, and other designated areas.
  • Scrub, mop, and buff floors as required.
  • Dust and polish furniture to maintain cleanliness.
  • Clean glass interior windows, woodwork, restrooms, and fixtures.
  • Sanitize kitchen sinks and clean tables and dining areas.
  • Dispose of waste in designated trash stations.
  • Follow safe and proper cleaning procedures at all times.
  • Complete annual employee TB testing within the specified timeframe.
  • Keep janitorial closets and equipment organized and clean.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tasks performed in line with Environmental Services policies.
  • Attend a minimum of 85% of monthly Environmental Services Department staff meetings each year.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to walk for up to 6-7 hours daily; standing for 1-2 hours at a time. Occasional firm grasping and lifting of up to 25 lbs. Frequent pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs. Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level as needed. Hearing and vision capabilities must be adequate for normal conversation and general tasks.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred experience of three to six months in housekeeping within a hospital or institutional environment.
