Industrial Project Engineer Opportunity

TGC Search is partnering with a Waukesha, WI-based food manufacturing company to find their next Industrial Project Engineer.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project engineer to lead capital projects and optimize manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage capital project execution, including budgeting and financial justification.
  • Negotiate equipment purchases and service contracts, managing vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to upgrade processes and integrate automation and technology.
  • Develop efficient manufacturing methods, optimize floor space, and ensure ergonomic workstation design.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, track costs, and analyze operations for cost-justified improvements.
  • Identify and qualify vendors, obtain competitive bids, and monitor vendor performance for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, coordinating communication between all stakeholders.
  • Perform factory acceptance tests, commissioning, and new process start-ups.
  • Plan and direct activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related engineering/technology discipline.
  • At least three years of engineering or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and engage in discussions.
  • Strong technical skills in project management and engineering methodologies.
  • Optimistic attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
Preferred:
  • Five years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong foundation in process design.
  • Familiarity with Lean concepts, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
