Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with and maintain ISO 9001 certification requirements
  • Work with the F&W Department and Quality Inspectors to maintain compliance, write new ISO procedures, and implement continuous improvements
  • Manage and coordinate internal audits
  • Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer
  • Draft quality assurance policies, procedures, and forms. Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • Execute tests to check final product adherence to the company and ISO standards
  • Facilitate the customer complaint process and conduct customer/supplier audits as needed
  • Utilize quality tools and various data sources to determine causes of quality issues and areas of improvement
  • Perform root cause analysis, identify appropriate corrective action, and ensure action is taken to prevent recurrence
  • Lead audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings, and serve as a liaison with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits
  • Oversee production to ensure conformity in final product processing
  • Evaluate the adequacy of quality assurance standards
  • Develop, justify, and implement manufacturing QA process improvements
  • Conduct training as needed relating to the Quality Assurance System

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or prior experience in quality management and production processing preferred
  • Must have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have analytics and auditing experience
  • Must have knowledge of ISO 9001 certification requirements
  • Must have 5-7 years of experience with ISO 9001
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have received training as an Internal Auditor
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance
  • Must have proven leadership experience

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, or crawl
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs, at times may be asked to lift more
  • The production floor is non-climate controlled
  • The production floor is typically loud
  • Must wear required PPE
  • Overnight travel will be around 15%
