Job Summary

The Chief Quality Officer is a key member of the Community Health Systems leadership team, responsible for driving quality and safety initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of quality improvement principles and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify and address quality and safety concerns
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission and CMS
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to quality and safety
  • Provide training and education to staff on quality and safety initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, with a focus on patient safety and outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of quality improvement principles and statistical methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
