Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Services Manager to join our team at W3Global Inc. This key position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services, working closely with drivers to coordinate and schedule resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operational needs with the Maintenance team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Plan, distribute, and monitor routes to ensure customers receive service according to company standards and agreements.
  • Manage end-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety, and equipment issues.
  • Monitor driver and laborer time and attendance, minimizing overtime and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Review weekly demand/volume for routes and recommend re-routes to optimize efficiency.
  • Set and monitor productivity, service, and safety targets for each route and driver.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting required for incentive pay programs.
  • Ensure drivers comply with physicals, drug or alcohol tests, and training required by regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct Root Cause Investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline and retraining.
  • Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with Company/Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Document problem fixes and provide instructions to dispatch/service should problems recur.
  • Communicate and follow-up on sales opportunities, problems at customer sites, repairs container swaps, and safety issues reported by drivers.
  • Notify customer service of delivery days for specific areas.
  • Ensure set-up errors and missed pickups are reported and resolved.
  • Document and maintain records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation.
  • Review and audit documentation related to route operations on a daily basis following up where appropriate.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a service-related (Waste) industry
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to use multiple programs in the MS Office Suite. Strong Excel Skills
  • Solid waste experience, bilingual Spanish & a College Degree are all a plus
  • Good physical agility with the ability to lift up 50lbs repetitively
  • Ability to utilize local highway maps. Able to follow detailed instructions
