Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a clear understanding of the company's philosophies, short- and long-term goals, and financial position.
  • Get to know your team members and help them develop within the company by setting goals and monitoring their progress through regular evaluations.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities on assigned enhancements.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each job and monitor them regularly.
  • Meet with clients on every job to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Monitor the quality of work by inspecting the job at the end of each day and obtaining a satisfactory completion form.
  • Sell an acceptable level of extras through the use of time and materials tickets.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in good working order.
  • Monitor and complete daily time entry.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment to reflect the company's image and provide a safe operating environment for other employees.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to organize and schedule projects.
  • Experience managing others at some level.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to work with service customers.
  • At least one year of experience doing enhancement or landscape installation work in a commercial setting.
  • Two or four-year horticultural or related degrees and two years of industry experience.
  • Experience making hard and live material purchases and the ability to negotiate the best price.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English.
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license with a clean record over the last three years.
