Position Overview:

The Security Systems Consultant will be responsible for managing and optimizing technical programs and products for our clients, ensuring high-quality customer service, comprehensive staff training, and effective web development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance for basic troubleshooting.
  • Oversee access control and CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Assist with the installation, modification, and upgrades of electronic security systems.
  • Manage repair and maintenance tasks for electronic security systems.
  • Respond promptly to various security-related incidents or emergencies.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative products.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and Pinkerton, ensuring all inquiries and concerns are handled with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or technical project management is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience or certifications in areas such as Lenel or similar access control systems, Bosch/Honeywell Alarm systems, Exacqvision, Milestone or similar Video Management Systems, and Axis Communications are advantageous but not mandatory.

Competencies:
  • Lead various security system projects, including new constructions, renovations, upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Collaborate with local security personnel, IT departments, facilities, consultants, and security integrators to define project scope and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain project management documentation while adhering to design standards throughout each project's lifecycle.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills for commercial electronic security and video management systems.
  • Have a foundational understanding of software and hardware related to electronic security systems.
  • Exhibit effective judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact effectively across various levels and backgrounds.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer skills.

Working Conditions:
  • Requires the ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Regular exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Frequent computer usage and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to adjust focus between close and distant vision.
  • Travel may be required as necessary.
