We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Search and Browse Data Science team at Target. As a Sr Data Scientist, you will play a key role in designing and developing data-driven solutions to improve our digital experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions to improve search relevance and ranking
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand business needs and develop solutions
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into production
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and natural language processing
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Quantitative disciplines or equivalent experience
  • PhD or MS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related quantitative field
  • Research and/or industry experience in relevant fields such as Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, NLP
  • 3+ years of experience implementing machine learning models and algorithms into production at scale
  • Proficient in Python or Java with advanced coding and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional modeling skills using Python
  • Experience querying large databases with SQL, HQL or some variations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that can partner with a global team
