The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled At-Risk Youth Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Probation Services Unit, you will play a critical role in assessing and identifying at-risk youth, developing forensic evaluations and recommendations, and promoting positive behavior change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of at-risk youth to identify risk factors and develop individualized plans for intervention.
- Collaborate with Juvenile Operations Investigation & Reporting teams and Family Court dispositional judges to ensure timely and effective assessments.
- Use risk needs responsivity principles and risk reduction strategies to develop and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Liaise with key DOP staff and Family Court stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
- Valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license issued by the New York State Department of Education within one year of appointment.
