Job Overview

The Police Athletic League is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing psycho-social intake and clinical assessments for referred youth, matching them with mentors, and conducting regular home visits and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-social intake and clinical assessments for referred youth
  • Match youth with mentors and provide ongoing support
  • Conduct regular home visits and assessments to ensure safety and risk
  • Work closely with families, schools, and external partners to provide comprehensive support
  • Enter data into ACS and OCFS databases and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • MSW degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of six years experience in youth work and/or youth counseling
  • Previous experience with ACS Preventive services highly preferred
  • Demonstrated skills and competency in youth development
  • Ability to work from a strength-based, trauma-informed, youth development lens
