Position Overview

ColdFlo Mechanical, Inc. is actively looking for skilled Ammonia Service Technicians to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of industrial refrigeration systems within our service area.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize specific knowledge and hands-on experience to troubleshoot and repair industrial refrigeration systems, including chillers, CO2 ventilation systems, boilers, valves, and controls.
  • System Management: Conduct system pump downs and evacuations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Calibration and Start-ups: Perform system calibrations and start-ups, demonstrating compressor alignment skills.
  • Safety Compliance: Safely handle ammonia refrigeration systems and Halo-carbon (Freon) systems, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, promoting conflict resolution, diversity, and ethical practices.
  • Customer Communication: Clearly communicate service findings and necessary corrective actions to customers.
  • Logistical Coordination: Maintain effective communication with the Service Coordinator regarding work order progress, scheduling, and required materials.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights as necessary.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • 5-7 years of experience as an operator or service technician with industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Possession of EPA 608 universal certification.
  • RETA CIRO certification is a plus.
  • Graduation from a Refrigeration Trade School is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and a clear DMV record, compliant with company vehicle policies.
