The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, treatment, and supervision of patients with difficulties in mobility, cognition, function, strength, and daily living activities, in accordance with AOTA scope of practice and licensure laws. They communicate with families, physicians, and other health team members and maintain professional documentation of services.

Requirements:

  • Evaluate patients within 24 to 48 hours of physician's orders.
  • Develop effective treatment plans.
  • Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and interact with staff, patients, and family members.
  • Communicate with physicians, clinical managers, and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in patient Plan of Care Meetings and Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
  • Achieve or exceed productivity standards.
  • Participate in in-service training programs for staff.
  • Record treatment notes, progress notes, and complete daily billing of services.
  • Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Recommend equipment to facilitate improved delivery of clinical services.
  • Report problems with department equipment.
  • Act as a clinical supervisor for affiliating Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant programs.
  • Comply with Occupational Therapy Licensure and Certification Standards.
  • Work beyond usual hours as needed.
  • Portray the mission, vision, core values, and professional image of Concept Rehab.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S., Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed in the state(s) where services are being provided as an Occupational Therapist.
