The **Structured Cabling Specialist** is expected to acquire and demonstrate the essential skills necessary to be an effective member of a technical team.

Typically, this role requires no prior experience to one (1) year of experience in the structured cabling sector.

Key Responsibilities:

The **Structured Cabling Specialist** will be responsible for installing work area outlets for various setups, including floor-mounted units, modular furniture, and wall-mounted configurations. This includes utilizing tools such as fish tape to route cables through walls and modular furniture. The role also involves executing pre-termination tasks:

- Organizing, forming, and dressing cables
- Determining appropriate lengths, slack, and labeling cables

Correctly suspending and supporting cables is crucial:

- Utilizing cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze systems.


The **Structured Cabling Specialist** will construct telecommunications closets, which includes mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and related hardware.

Additionally, grounding for racks, equipment, and cables will be installed as necessary.


Fire-stopping procedures on fire walls will be performed, including installing sleeves and pulling cables through sleeves and core penetrations.

The role also entails terminating low-voltage devices.


Completing all necessary COMMERCIAL paperwork accurately and promptly (including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and other required documentation) is essential for this position.


Adherence to and participation in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations is expected from the **Structured Cabling Specialist**.

Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
