Overview

At Emory Healthcare, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of radiology. As a Radiology Technologist Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in leading our team of radiologic technologists and ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operation of radiology patient services, including directing and educating staff, maintaining equipment and supplies, and performing advanced procedures as needed.
  • Schedule and provide direction to radiologic technologists.
  • Coordinate the flow of patients through diagnostic procedures.
  • May perform routine and complex radiologic procedures.
  • Assist radiologists in evaluating new products and equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of x-ray equipment and resolve any malfunctions.
  • Oversee and coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
  • Establish quality measures and standards.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and address problems by providing employees with feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and conduct employee training programs.
  • Regularly meet with and communicate operational changes to staff. Assist in developing short and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Assist in reviewing and administering departmental policies, procedures, and related forms in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • CPR certification required.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience to include at minimum of one (1) year supervisory or Level 3 RT experience.
