Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, as well as operating and maintaining complex medical imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Operate and maintain complex medical imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and positron emission tomography (PET) scanners
  • Conduct quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of imaging equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • Eligibility to take certification exam in Nuclear Medicine by either the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the state of New York
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • Experience working in a nuclear medicine department or related field
