Key Responsibilities
This job description outlines the essential duties and responsibilities associated with this position, though it is not an exhaustive list. Team members may be asked to perform additional job-related tasks as needed.
- Engage with members to foster relationships, identify financial needs, and recommend suitable products and services that align with the members' best interests.
- Execute financial transactions and manage all phases of savings and lending efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper documentation in member files in accordance with regulatory standards and Credit Union policies.
- Maintain accountability for the daily balance of the cash drawer.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve branch objectives.
- Proactively follow up on membership appointments and loan inquiries, promoting the Credit Union through outreach and networking efforts.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve member inquiries and concerns.
- Stay informed about Credit Union products, services, policies, and promotions, integrating this knowledge into daily interactions with members.
- Safeguard the Credit Union's assets and uphold member privacy by adhering to safety, security, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and Notary Public Certifications (can be obtained post-hire through training).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to both internal and external members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport.
- Confidence to initiate conversations with members.
- Strong organizational, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Work Environment
- General office setting.
- May require working at multiple branches based on operational needs; work schedules may vary weekly.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer in a stationary position for up to 8 hours daily.
