About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Spartanburg, SC. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol designated areas to prevent and discover crime
  • Enforce traffic laws, direct traffic, and assist motorists, pedestrians, and the injured in accidents
  • Respond to emergency calls regarding domestic violence and make arrests as necessary
  • Investigate reports of suspicious people and vehicles
  • Serve arrest and bench warrants to the public
  • Testify in court regarding traffic and criminal cases
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid SC driver's license
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be able to obtain required certification from the SC Criminal Justice Academy
  • Be free of drug use and have no felony convictions
