Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Spartanburg. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing state and local laws, maintaining public safety, and providing exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol designated areas to prevent and discover crime
  • Enforce traffic laws, direct traffic, and assist motorists and pedestrians
  • Respond to emergency calls and make arrests as necessary
  • Investigate reports of suspicious activity and prepare detailed reports
  • Testify in court regarding traffic and criminal cases
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid SC driver's license
  • Be at least 21 years of age and a United States citizen
  • Be able to obtain required certification from the SC Criminal Justice Academy
