As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our providers in various tasks related to patient management, organization, and communication./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/ppbPatient Care:/b/pulliAssist dermatologists in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments./liliCollect and record patient medical history and vital signs./liliEducate patients on prescribed medications, skincare routines, and post-treatment care./li/ulpbAdministrative Tasks:/b/pulliSchedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar./liliMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems./liliHandle insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing support./li/ulpbProcedure Assistance:/b/pulliPrepare and assist in dermatological procedures, surgeries, and minor surgical interventions./liliEnsure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical instruments and equipment./liliAssist in the documentation of procedural notes and patient follow-up./li/ulpbPatient Communication:/b/pulliCommunicate with patients to relay treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and test results./liliRespond to patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism and empathy./li/ulpbCollaboration:/b/pulliWork closely with other medical staff and administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care./liliCollaborate with dermatologists and nursing staff to provide a coordinated approach to patient treatment./li/ulpbRequirements:/b/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Pursuit or completion of MA Certification preferred./liliPrevious experience in the Dermatology field preferred but willing to train./liliFamiliarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or a willingness to learn./liliExperience with patient charting (i.e., scribing patient history, doctor's diagnosis description and treatment plans, including prescriptions and patient instructions into patient chart, in detail)./lili2 plus years' experience working in a medical office./liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills./liliStrong attention to detail and well organized./liliAbility to manage multiple tasks./liliKnowledgeable of OSHA and HIPAA compliance./liliKnowledge of medical/dermatology terminology and abbreviations preferred./li/ulpbBenefits:/b/pulliCompetitive pay./lili401k with company match./liliHealth, Dental, Vision./liliEmployer HSA contribution./liliLife Insurance./liliTuition Reimbursement./liliGreat PTO and Holiday policy./li/ulpIf you are a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant with the passion to grow in the field of Dermatology, we invite you to apply and become an integral part of our dynamic team.
