Location: Tampa, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Irving, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 10 Months

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a highly skilled Business Risk and Control Officer to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for contributing to the governance and facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) as required by the MCA Standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the assessment and approval of risk associated with business changes.
  • Support teams in the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to identify issue root cause and provide recommendations for holistic corrective actions and improvements.
  • Contribute to the Lessons Learned Policy, including monitoring of control breaches and dissemination of learnings across business units.
  • Support the review and challenge process for the effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the adherence to the MCA Standard through controls after the execution of a process.
  • Deal with Operational and Compliance Risk in accordance with established Policy requirements.
  • Assist in performing a detailed analysis to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories.
  • Monitor and assess exposures against Risk Appetite in accordance with enterprise requirements.
  • Be part of the process to identify, assess, record, and respond to Operational and Compliance Risk events.
  • Ensure adequate governance and training are in place to support management of Risk profiles.
  • Contribute to the risks associated with New Activities and changes to the Business.
  • Support with risk and control assessments or coordination for programs within various risk stripes.
  • Coordinate risk and control responsibilities and ensure accountabilities are embedded within FLUs.
  • Support with standards and procedures that conform to enterprise requirements.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience with Business Operational Risk.
  • 5+ years' experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL.
  • 3+ years supporting or understanding technology lifecycle.
  • 5+ years' experience in financial services.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational influencing skills required.
  • Third-party vendor management preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
