About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Intern to join our team in Charlotte. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of construction management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing project budgets and expenditures
  • Coordinate with owners and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution
  • Learn about safety and quality control programs and how to coordinate actions to address problems
  • Review and process submittal data and shop drawings
  • Coordinate submittals, deliveries, and other project-related activities
  • Monitor and review weekly and monthly status reports and subcontractor meeting minutes
  • Understand change documents and change proposal requests for price review
  • May accompany Project Engineers to meetings with architects and owner representatives
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program
  • Prior commercial construction internships or work experience is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Good self-organizational and management skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
