Mental Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our dynamic treatment team at Lake Behavioral Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately record vital signs and report changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Exercise sound judgment in patient interactions and provide information for development and revision of therapeutic interventions.
- Employ crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques.
- Assist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene.
- Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, or Certified Nursing Assistant; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.
- One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness, is preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements: May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
- Competitive compensation range of $17.00 - $23.00 hourly, with a $800.00 sign-on bonus.
