Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical team to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer, ensuring accurate dosing and positioning.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, making recommendations on technical limitations and patient suitability.
- Monitor patient symptoms and report any concerns to physicians, ensuring timely intervention and adjustment of treatment plans.
- Provide instruction and supervision to students participating in clinical programs, promoting knowledge and skills development.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment data, including verification films and equipment malfunctions.
- Stay up-to-date with new advances in radiation therapy, attending professional society meetings and training courses to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
- ARRT license or registry eligibility, with licensure required within 6 months of hire date.
- Active license from the State of Illinois IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety.
- CPR certification.
This role requires the ability to work safely with radiation, communicate effectively with patients, and lift heavy weights (up to 35 pounds) with assistance when necessary.
