POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Technician plays a crucial role in providing individualized support to children with autism and related conditions, either in a home setting or clinical environment. This position requires adherence to professional standards and the ability to follow specific instructions diligently. During the initial training phase, staff must complete all necessary training modules, pass the competency evaluation, and successfully take the RBT examination. Post-training, employees are expected to bill for 28 hours within a standard 40-hour work week, which may include both clinic and home-based sessions. Additional responsibilities include data entry, paperwork management, organization, and participation in training and supervision sessions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute daily therapeutic interventions under the guidance of a Behavior Analyst.
  • Implement Individualized Service Plans for clients and their families as directed by a Behavior Analyst.
  • Achieve and maintain RBT certification.
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
  • Accurately document all required information, including behavioral data, daily logs, and billing records, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid and other regulatory standards in all documentation.
  • Prepare and manage program materials for client sessions.
  • Engage in weekly supervision meetings with a Behavior Analyst or Assistant Behavior Analyst to review client progress and address any concerns.
  • Attend and contribute to all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide transportation for clients as necessary for natural environment sessions.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures while performing additional tasks as needed for program success.
  • Maintain professional integrity and ethical standards at all times.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be eligible to take the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam.
  • Possession of a valid Virginia Driver's License.
  • Access to a reliable personal cell phone.
  • Dependable transportation is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline OR
  • High School Diploma OR
  • GED
