Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Special Procedures/Cath Lab Technician to contribute to our esteemed healthcare facility. As an integral part of the Radiology Patient Care Team, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our specialized programs. This position requires expertise in operating and calibrating diagnostic radiology instruments, performing a variety of procedures, and collaborating closely with our radiologists and management to achieve our institutional objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist medical professionals during diverse procedures utilizing advanced technology
• Ensure accurate monitoring and documentation of critical patient data
• Oversee the maintenance and management of radiological devices and biological samples
• Exhibit independence in decision-making when supervisors are unavailable
• Remain informed about the latest diagnostic x-ray and specialized procedure equipment
• Communicate procedure details to patients and prepare them for examinations
• Generate precise and high-quality diagnostic images
• Comply with radiation safety standards to maintain a secure environment
• Address equipment service requests as needed
• Stay informed on coding and billing regulations
• Effectively schedule and coordinate specialized procedures
• Adhere to specific protocols established by physicians for various procedures
• Perform additional assigned tasks as necessary
