Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our administrative and practice operations at OnPoint Medical Group. Key Responsibilities
  • Process Review and Improvement
    • Assess administrative and practice processes to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance practice operations.
    • Work with the management team to develop and implement new policies and procedures as needed.
    • Advise the practice on current trends, problems, and medical activities to inform policy-making.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Site Visits
    • Regularly visit practice sites to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operations and provide support and feedback.
    • Maintain a record of visits, notes, action items, and follow-up items for tracking purposes and performance measures.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with all employees on all levels, providing timely and professional information.
    • Coordinate staff meetings at each site to communicate identified issues and concerns and participate in solutions.
    • Communicate new policies or items of interest that affect staff ability to care for patients.
    • Investigate patient complaints and report to physicians as necessary.
  • Staffing
    • Work with personnel to develop staffing and schedules at each location.
    • Assist with creating monthly schedules using creative staffing techniques and incorporating patient volumes with practice coverage needs.
    • Monitor patient flow through practice in conjunction with staff.
    • Coordinate with human resources recruiting needs and schedule interviews and coordinate hiring of new personnel.
  • Business / Financial Responsibility
    • Oversee the business and financial affairs of the practice and fiscal management in conjunction with the practice accounting department.
    • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to monitor collections, outstanding balances, outbound calls, patient visits, and other assigned reports.
    • Use data to manage the business.
    • Monitor and report on supply usage to ensure optimal practices are in place.
  • Patient / Payer / Health Organization Liaison
    • Manage patient complaints effectively, balancing excellent customer service with financially prudent resolutions.
    • Serve as liaison and channel of communication between hospitals, regulatory bodies, and vendors.
  • Management Responsibilities
    • Manage direct reports and team members, providing leadership, motivation, development, and discipline to promote quality performance and achievement of financial and quality objectives.
    • Resolve medical-administrative problems and maintain effective communication with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful practice atmosphere.
    • Enter, modify, fix, and submit employee timesheets every other week for payroll for staff and providers.
    • Monitor overtime and time off requests to achieve financial goals and minimize excess and waste.
  • Meetings
    • Coordinate and attend standard meetings for OnPoint Medical Group.
  • Facilities Management and Purchasing
    • Responsible for managing the overall facilities management and purchasing activities of the practice.
  • Marketing & Public Relations
    • Attend identified marketing/public relations functions and coordinate special projects as delegated by OnPoint Medical Group administration.
    • Coordinate staffing as appropriate.
  • Qualifications
    • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
    • 2-5 years of managerial/supervisory experience with progressive responsibility.
    • Demonstrate the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with co-workers and health team members.
