As a Broadcast News Producer, your primary responsibilities will include crafting daily newscast segments, organizing the order of stories, developing engaging teases and content, overseeing program timings, editing video materials, and uploading content to our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing newscasts for various distribution channels.
  • Writing and structuring news articles.
  • Reviewing and finalizing scripts for broadcast.
  • Balancing news and feature segments to create engaging programs.
  • Editing video content for clarity and impact.
  • Developing stories for our website and other digital media outlets.
  • Interacting with audiences on social media platforms.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in news production (varies by market size).
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using computers and standard office equipment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
