Editorial Director, Vermont Edition

Vermont Public is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Editor and Senior Producer to lead the production of its flagship weekday call-in show, Vermont Edition. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the hosts and producers of the show, coordinating work responsibilities, promotions, and digital and broadcast needs. They will also work closely with other newsroom leaders to plan coverage and execute special projects.

• Supervise and mentor hosts and producers to ensure high-quality content and production
• Coordinate work responsibilities, promotions, and digital and broadcast needs
• Work closely with other newsroom leaders to plan coverage and execute special projects
• Develop and implement content strategies to engage audiences and promote Vermont Public's mission
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of content and services

• 5+ years of experience in radio or television production, with a focus on news and public affairs
• Proven track record of producing high-quality content and leading teams to achieve goals
• Strong understanding of Vermont Public's mission and values
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

• Competitive salary range: $79,560 - $93,600 annually
