Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, including enrolling patrons, issuing library memberships, and managing user accounts
  • Assist patrons in finding resources, utilizing technology, and clarifying procedures
  • Process and check in library materials, handle payments, and inform patrons about library programs and activities
  • Organize materials on shelves, manage homebound services, and address patron behavior issues
  • Comply with legal and policy standards regarding patron confidentiality
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preferred two years of experience in a library setting
  • Fundamental understanding of library systems and databases
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • English/Spanish language proficiency is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Candidate must be capable of navigating the workspace, lifting heavy materials, working in tight spaces, and performing physical tasks as necessary.
