We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design and engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.
As a Senior Innovation and Design Engineer, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design and develop innovative solutions that meet our business needs. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval, and will be our suppliers' primary point of technical contact for your projects.
Your projects may include green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers. You will work with a team of highly skilled and engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and develop innovative solutions
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval
- Be our suppliers' primary point of technical contact for your projects
- Work with a team of highly skilled and engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Experience must involve ownership/management of engineering design projects
- Ability to travel 20% globally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and/or high-speed manufacturing
- Experience with process design and based on Lean Principles
- Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

Compensation:
The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
