Paper Mill Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Paper Mill Automation Engineer to join our team at DSJ Global. This role involves working with a collaborative engineering team to migrate DCS systems from Honeywell TDC 3000 to ABB 800XA.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of process control engineering and automation, with experience in managing DCS systems and developing maintenance plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the manufacturing facility's process control engineering and automation needs
- Own and maintain the site's DCS systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for systems automation to guarantee optimal facility operation
- Design and configure control systems, including HMI interfaces
- Lead or assist in capital engineering and process improvement projects
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to provide expert advice on automation systems and facilities
- Analyse equipment failures using technical principles
- Conduct equipment performance evaluations
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (desired)
- At least 3 years of experience in process controls engineering or maintenance
- Paper & pulp/plastics, or chemical manufacturing experience
- Expertise in DCS, Allen-Bradley PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, FactoryTalk
- Annual base salary: $100,000 - $145,000
