Job Title: Process Controls Specialist

A highly skilled Process Controls Specialist is required to join our team at DSJ Global. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most well-recognised paper mills in the country.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process control engineering and automation, with experience in leading DCS migration projects from Honeywell TDC 3000 to ABB 800XA.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide process control engineering and automation support to the manufacturing facility
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade site's DCS systems
  • Develop and execute maintenance related to systems automation to ensure operational state
  • Configure and monitor control systems, as well as design HMI interfaces
  • Direct or assist capital engineering and process improvement projects
  • Provide expertise on automation systems and facilities to regulatory agencies
  • Analyse equipment failures using engineering principles
  • Evaluate equipment performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in process controls engineering or maintenance
  • Paper & pulp/plastics, or chemical manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS), Allen-Bradley PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, FactoryTalk
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary: $100,000 - $145,000 per annum
