Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Edge Computing team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and integrating systems that streamline operational processes and support our customers' needs.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will work closely with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative systems solutions to the market. You will have the opportunity to work on complex technical problems, design and build innovative technologies, and integrate industry-standard AWS systems to scale operations in a fast-growing organization.

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members and providing opportunities for growth and development. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge-sharing and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative systems solutions to the market.
  • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
  • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
  • Integrate industry-standard AWS systems to scale operations in a fast-growing organization.
  • Work in an agile and evolving environment to consistently deliver high-quality solutions.

A Day in the Life:

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the hands-on implementation of cross-org systems solutions to business problems, diving deep into complex issues, and designing the next big thing with scale in mind.

You will have opportunities to grow professionally through code reviews, design reviews, and formal mentorship from senior engineers.

About the Team:

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members and providing opportunities for growth and development. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge-sharing and mentorship.

Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects that help our team members develop your engineering expertise so you feel empowered to take on more complex tasks in the future.

Diverse Experiences:

AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply.

If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.
