Job Summary:

As a Transportation Specialist with the Corvallis School District - Montana, you will be responsible for safely transporting students between neighborhoods, schools, and school activities. This is a part-time position that requires a valid driver's license and a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with endorsements for passengers and air brakes.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport students.

Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs to ensure student safety.

Comply with traffic regulations and operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.

Follow safety rules when students are boarding and exiting buses, and when they cross streets near bus stops.

Pick up and drop off students at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations, following strict time schedules.

Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort.

Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures and be prepared to respond in case of an emergency.

Make minor repairs to vehicles as needed.

Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, and/or fares received.

Requirements:

1 year of experience as a school bus driver (preferred).

Valid driver's license and CDL with endorsements for passengers and air brakes.

Competitive hourly rate: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour.
