Shop Crane Technician

We are seeking a skilled Shop Crane Technician to join our team. As a Shop Crane Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment, including mobile cranes and boom trucks.

• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects and ensure proper operation.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS & MEGA-TRACK system.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
• Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations.
• Properly fill out working reports, hour's reports, time sheets, hour's overviews, and expense reports.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician.
• History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks; Manitex Boom Trucks and Cranes a strong plus.
• Sets a positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas clean & orderly, plus promoting safety regulations and all other company programs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Required to purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.
• Manufacture approved training/certifications preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as required.

• This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
