Amerex Corporation Maintenance Multi-Craft Job Description

At Amerex Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic PLC programming and troubleshooting of AC and DC control circuits and wiring.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery, including welding, conduit bending, and communications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery, electric controls, panel construction, wiring, fabricate, weld, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, solder, grind, saw, and use hand tools and other shop equipment.
  • Safely modify and install energy control devices.
  • Monitor equipment and operations to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Comply with LOTO, Confined Space, Respirator, and other applicable training and procedures.
  • Follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specs.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, talking to operators or supervisors, and using precision measuring and testing equipment.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and controls.
  • Maintain maintenance supplies by anticipating needed equipment and communicating needed supplies and irregularities.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and provide direction, guidance, information, and resolve customer or product design concerns.
Requirements:
  • Maintenance, PLC, electrical, welding technical training or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical, electrical, PLC, welding, communications experience.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Legible handwriting, read and understand instructions, drawings, and electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Self-directed.
