Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Pelican Staffing. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the transportation and delivery of goods from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Logistics Operations: Schedule transportation, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Monitor inventory levels, collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels, and minimize stockouts.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Effectively communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange pickups and deliveries, and resolve any transportation issues.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Optimize Supply Chain Processes: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain, and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, especially SAP; strong understanding of transportation regulations and logistics processes; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency; adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate unforeseen challenges in the supply chain; commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
