Job Responsibilities

The Vascular Technologist is responsible for delivering healthcare services through the application of sound energy for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing high-quality vascular scans across a diverse patient demographic.
  • Exhibiting expertise in vascular sonography techniques.
  • Identifying venous anatomy in both upper and lower extremities.
  • Conducting protocols for venous duplex examinations.
  • Recognizing arterial anatomy and performing flow examinations.
  • Executing carotid duplex exam protocols.
  • Efficiently operating vascular ultrasound equipment.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's Degree or higher in a relevant technological field.
  • Completion of an accredited allied health education program related to patient care.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
  • Preferred: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technician.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Preferred: Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography.
