Position: Part-time Restorative Nursing Assistant
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Morning Shift, 5 hours daily
A Restorative Nursing Assistant is responsible for delivering restorative care and functional maintenance services to assigned residents, ensuring adherence to their individual assessments and care plans.
Additionally, this role may involve supporting rehabilitative therapies as a Rehab Technician, facilitating optimal care for residents.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe following outlines essential duties and responsibilities, which may be supplemented by additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor:
- Document all restorative and functional maintenance activities accurately on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
- Complete required documentation in line with program guidelines, under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.
- Collaborate with therapists and the Facility Restorative Nurse to set restorative goals and interventions tailored to each resident's care plan.
- Adhere to established safety protocols while performing all duties.
- Assist in the transportation and movement of residents as directed.
- Support licensed personnel in delivering patient care.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of therapy equipment and work areas.
- Monitor changes in patient conditions and inform licensed staff accordingly.
- Foster strong relationships with professional staff and maintain positive interactions with residents and their families.
- Uphold the confidentiality of company, patient, and client information.
- Follow the dress code requirements of the assigned facility.
- Adhere to the patient's Bill of Rights.
- Complete necessary forms and records as directed, ensuring all required signatures are obtained.
- Direct written and verbal communications to the appropriate personnel.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and report any breaches to management.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and professionalism.
- Demonstrate dependability and responsibility.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor.
- Maintain a positive and flexible attitude.
- Show high motivation and commitment to the role.
- Display effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Practice active listening and persuasive communication.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Occasional lifting of weights between 11 to 50 lbs.
- Frequent reaching above shoulder height and at shoulder height.
- Constantly push and pull as needed.
- Engage in activities such as twisting, bending, crawling, and balancing.
Must be able to relate to and work with individuals who are ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally distressed.
Qualifications- Current CNA certification in the state of employment.
- Completion of a physical exam and free from communicable diseases as per state regulations.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, if applicable.
