Clearance Requirements:- Must possess an active DOD Secret Clearance.
Educational and Certification Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the telecommunications field.
- Preferred certification in telecommunications or a related discipline.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of telecommunications systems, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of outside plant cabling, including fiber optics and copper cabling.
- Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optics and copper cabling.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of both outside and inside plant systems.
- Perform necessary repairs and replacements to maintain optimal system functionality.
- Collaborate with various teams to coordinate project efforts and ensure timely execution.
- Assist in developing project plans, including cost assessments and timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all installations, repairs, and modifications.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and utilizing a computer.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds as necessary.
